The Studio is the small but very busy heart of The Auld Romantics. From here in our garden in Perthshire, we design, print, assemble and package our collection of Scottish cards, keepsakes and little treasures.
Some begin with an old Scottish tradition, some with a photograph, a flower or a sentimental idea we simply have to try. Most are made in small numbers and every order that leaves here has passed through our hands.

Everything we make begins with a story. From lucky sixpences and seeds to plant, to cards made for life’s meaningful moments, our studio is filled with small things designed to carry a little bit of Scotland with them or to say I thought of you.

Over the years, our little parcels have found their way to homes around the world, and our Etsy customers have helped shape what The Studio has become.

Grown in our garden
The heather in our keepsakes starts life right here in our Perthshire garden.
Each summer, we grow and pick our own heather, carefully drying enough to hopefully see us through the year. The tiny flowers are then used in our lockets and keyrings, without resin, so the heather itself remains the little piece of Scotland you carry with you.
Because we work with what we grow, quantities are naturally limited. Occasionally we do run out, and when we do, we simply have to wait for nature to do her thing and the next crop to arrive in late summer.

Where we send
Our little parcels travel rather a long way from our Perthshire studio. We currently send throughout mainland Scotland, England, Wales, as well as to the USA and Canada. For our US customers, we sell through Etsy so that any applicable tariffs and duties can be calculated and collected correctly at checkout, making things much simpler at both ends.
We can also send selected items to Australia and New Zealand, although unfortunately some of our botanical pieces cannot be shipped due to import restrictions. Postal regulations have become increasingly complicated around the world, so we’ve had to simplify where and what we can send. If you live somewhere not listed, or have your heart set on a particular piece, please get in touch. We’ll always see what we can do.
Bespoke & bulk orders
We often accept bespoke requests and larger quantities for weddings, events, businesses and special occasions if we have enough lead time. If you have an idea, please get in touch — we are always be happy to see what is possible.
