Every images below began with me standing somewhere in Scotland, waiting for the land to offer something beautiful.
These images are not gathered lightly. They come from blue fingers in the rain, wind on my face, goosebumps under my jacket and the ridiculous optimism of getting up before dawn because the light might be amazing. They come from pothole roads, impossible parking spots, muddy boots, boggy ground, late-night Co-op sandwiches after sunsets, tents, hillsides, passing storms and the occasional rainbow chased across the sky.
I have stood in all of these places because I wanted to bring a part of them home.
Each print begins as a real photograph, taken by me in the landscape itself, then gently enhanced with a painterly touch so it can live beautifully in your home ~ not as a perfect postcard, but as a feeling.
