For me, photography isn't about perfect posing or telling you how you should look. It's about giving you the freedom to be yourself, play with an idea, tell a story or become someone completely different for a while.
It's about the experience, the atmosphere, the laughter and all those little moments in between.
Hello, I’m Kristy
I've been photographing people professionally since 2017, following a rather winding road that life threw at me and eventually finding myself on the other side of the camera.
I'm drawn to people with stories, wild Scottish landscapes, beautiful natural light and photographs with a little romance and soul to them. I love the freedom to create something that feels individual.
I'm Australian born, but Scotland has been home for a very long time and has become a huge part of both who I am and what I create. I'm far more interested in real people than perfect ones, and I think a sense of humour goes a very long way when someone points a camera at you.
I'm happiest outside, probably slightly windswept, creating something with someone who has trusted me with a little piece of their story.
And usually coffee. There is nearly always coffee.
