A little invitation…
There are places that hold something special. Kinnoull Hill is one of ours.
We walk these woods often, in every season, but autumn is particularly lovely here in Perthshire. The colours change, the light gets softer and the whole place feels just a little quieter.
So this October and November, we are opening a small number of relaxed portrait sessions here at Kinnoull Hill for individuals who fancy spending some time outdoors, having a wander, getting creative and making some beautiful photographs along the way.
Nothing too formal. No need to know how to pose. We will take our time, follow the light and probably have a coffee too.
These sessions are for those who…
Feel at home among the trees.
Wanderers, witches, goddesses and quiet souls.
Or simply anyone who would love some beautiful photographs of themselves and a good excuse to spend a few hours outdoors in the autumn woods.
No experience needed. No expectations. Just come as you are or whoever you'd like to become for a little while.

Timing & availability
This is a limited seasonal offering. Sessions are available from the beginning of October through to mid-November, while the forest still holds its autumn colour and the light remains soft and low. Morning sessions work best (start around 9.30–10am), when the woods are quiet and the paths are still. Places are limited and fitted around our existing handmade product studio work.
What to wear
This is Scotland. It will be cold, muddy, breezy or softly raining. Often that’s when the forest is at its most beautiful. So please bring some warm layers with you. For your photographs, think texture and layers. Natural fabrics, flowing fabrics and earthy tones photograph beautifully ~ wool, linen, knits, cloaks, boots.
Session & Image Fee £250
Included:
• A relaxed portrait session in the Kinnoull Hill woodlands, with plenty of time to wander, create and work with the light.
• Creative direction and full editing.
• A collection of carefully selected and edited high-resolution images.
• A private online gallery to view and download.
Our editing style is soft and painterly, inspired by the same approach we use across our fine art and The Auld Romantics photography. These portraits are intended as keepsakes and something to return to, long after fashions and trends have passed.
A £100 deposit secures your session. Once booked, we'll be in touch closer to your date to confirm arrangements.
A final word
These sessions are very close to our hearts. They are about slowing down and spending a few hours being creative in nature. Letting the forest do what it does best. If the idea of wandering in this woodland and creating something quietly timeless speaks to you… Well we would love to meet you!
